I offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to all prospective clients. If we both agree that it’s worth our while to continue, we'll arrange a more in-depth meeting.

After settling on a method of payment (see Fees), we'll decide which approach best suits the project. Some clients give me a stack of research and existing material and let me take it from there. Others prefer to have me interview them and write from the transcripts. Some send me raw pages that need to be organized and polished, while others just want a consultation. Naturally, confidentiality is observed at all times.

At the beginning of the project we'll set up a schedule. We may adjust it as we go along, but there will always be a timeline with specific milestones. I encourage all my clients to be candid about our work together. In return, I provide honest (and diplomatic) feedback, cheerleading, and the enthusiasm and drive that will ensure we get the job done.

Every project is unique, but my goals remain constant: to capture a client’s voice and spirit, to find the most effective way to work together, and to produce a top-notch manuscript or proposal.
